Hola! My name is Christina Yach and I am very happy to have the opportunity to teach in the Nekoosa School District. I have been teaching Spanish for the past five years at Stratford High School. I have graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where I studied in Costa Rica. I look forward to working with the students in Nekoosa.

Class Description  
Spanish III/IV Spanish III/IV students take an in depth look in Spanish grammar. Vocabulary and grammar is focused on global issues in the Latin American World. Students are exposed to authentic materials, such as magazines, videos, music. Studens are able to communicate in the past, present and future tenses. Students are introduced to complex verb structures such as the subjunctive and the preterit or the imperfect. Homework
Spanish I Students learn the basics in communicating in the Spanish language and students are exposed to Spanish culture. The vocabulary and grammar is student centered. Where students learn how to talk about themselves and their families in the present tense. Homework
Spanish II Students expand on their knowledge from Spanish I. Students work on conversational, listening and writing skills. In addition, vocabulary and grammar is community based and students are able to communicate in the present and past tense about their life and their role in the community.
