Greetings to the 4th graders. The 4th grade teachers would like to welcome you to a new school year in a new building. We look forward to meeting
each and every one of you at the Meet and Greet Open House on Monday, Aug. 30 from 6-8 at AMS.
We invite you to bring in your school supplies on that evening so you don't have to carry as much on the first day of school. That evening you can also receive your locker combination so you can start to practice.
Hope to see you Monday night.

We are looking forward to the start of the 2010/2011 school year! We hope you are planning to join us for our meet and greet open house nights. Here are the dates, so you can mark your calendar. Humke Elementary School’s Open House will be Monday, August 30 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, the Alexander Middle School Open House will be Monday, August 30 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, and the Nekoosa High School Open House will be Tuesday, August 31 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Dinner will be available at each school for $1.00. This is a wonderful time for students to meet their teachers, get their schedules, and become familiar with their classrooms and schools. We hope you plan to attend.
For students who ride the bus, this year all pick up times on morning bus routes will be 10 minutes later than last year. This means that all students will get on the bus 10 minutes later than last year. There are a few exceptions to this, and those families will receive a card in the mail with their pickup time. If you don’t get a card in the mail, please expect that your bus will be 10 minutes later. All new students will receive a card in the mail. If you have any questions, please call Safeway at 886-4600.
We are aware there is quite a bit of road construction going on in our district this fall. The bus drivers will always make every effort to be on time, however, we may be a bit delayed at times due to construction.
Any special bus arrangements that were made last year do not carry over to this year. If you have special drop off or pick up instruction regarding bussing, forms are available in the school offices.
Here is one other important bit of information, the Boys and Girls Club will be closed the first week of school on September 1, 2, and 3rd. They will reopen on Tuesday, September 7.

Saturday 8:00 - Noon Cost is $10 per year which can be paid at the desk in the fitness center!
