Mission Statement

Alexander Middle School is devoted to providing a safe and secure learning environment in which the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our students are considered in the planning of the curriculum. Such planning will stress basic skills, and enhance creativity, expression discovery, uniqueness, and problem solving abilities with students being active participants in the learning process.

We strongly advocate, as an integral part of the learning process, parental and community involvement in the development of our students as productive citizens. Educational, social, athletic, and community service activities will be appropriate for the age, diversity, and development of our students.

We will strive to provide for our students, a successful bridge from the dependency of elementary school, to the increasing independence of high school. The bridge will be constructed through flexible scheduling of diverse programs in an interdisciplinary approach to education. We will provide an opportunity for our students to attain the skills of a successful, self-sufficient, life-long learner.
